The AG28 excavation tool can be used to hollow out workpieces clamped to a maximum depth of approx. 280 mm. The internal machining can be done straight or by scanning stencil. The wood is proceessed by a pipe construction with clamped hard metal turning plate. Due to the tube construction the chips can be sucked off directly. Before that a hole of Ø 40 mm or larger must be drilled in the workpiece. The sliding unit moves on a maintenance-free ball guide. This is secured against twisting and absolutely smoothly movable. With the star grip and the big handle the tube is moved with the steel. For inner contours according to template form the scanner must be placed down and clamped. An adjustable depth stop on the bottom of the workpiece guarantees safe machining. The left guide unit is inserted into the existing hand rest base directly next to the workpiece and clamped to exact height. Via handwheel the right and left bracket is stepless and adjustable except center. The steelworking infeed on the left takes place via hand wheel with stop bolts made of plastic.
